Synopsis of Summer School on Circularity in the Built Environment

The 40 Million City: exploring the potential of the Eurodelta Region toward the transition to a CBE

This past July, the Circular Built Environment Hub of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft hosted the 3rd Summer School on Circularity in the Built Environment, in which students from all education levels, PhD researchers and professionals were invited to participate.

In alignment with the ASSET project, this edition of the Summer School focused on the Eurodelta region and how this megaregion can contribute to the transition towards a circular built environment (CBE). ASSET partners were asked to join as guests/lecturers such as  Dagmar Keim from the City of Amsterdam (Project Lead of ASSET), Mariana Faver from the Province of South Holland, and Peter Pol from The City of The Hague. As part of the 3-day programme, the participants analyzed existing circular practices to determine resource flows and synergies of actors across the Eurodelta megaregion.
