Meet & Learns
Monthly webinars open to professionals & students working/studying in the field of urban planning, logistics, harbors, transport, circular economy.
ASSET is also running a series of monthly 'Meet and Learn' webinars (18 lectures in total) to explore the topic of the Circular Built Environment in more detail. The lineup of speakers is diverse, spanning various fields such as: construction, logistics, port operations, freight transport and spatial planning; representing both the private & public sectors. Project Start
ASSET project is approved as a small-scale Interreg NWE project, which signals the official start date of the project.
2024
TU Delft Studio Course: Spatial Strategies for the Global Metropolis
Masters Urbanism students are tasked to conduct a region design consisting of developing a vision and strategy with spatial interventions at different spatial levels within North-West Europe. The results of the studio will be inspiration for a) design principles & b) building blocks of a future strategy and action plan for the ASSET project.

RWTH Aachen Course: Transforming City Regions Masters Module II
Transforming City Regions Masters' module, Integrated Project II: Evolution of functional urban areas, focuses on the city scale using the study case of Haven -city in Amsterdam. Tasks will include: conceptualising circularity, implement circularity into the development, and strategically integrate social, economic and cultural elements.

ASSET on tour
Project partners will travel together to all partner cities and regions, covering best practices, moderated discussions with local stakeholders where partners will share their CBE ambitions, policies, spatial claims of CE and challenges, and discuss the potential for interregional collaboration to create synergies.

Summer school
3-day course hosted by Circular Built Environment Hub at the TU Delft that focuses on the Eurodelta and its potential to contribute to the transition to a circular built environment – open to students (BSc and MSc), PhD candidates, and professionals (architects, urban planners, policy makers).

Circular Atlas
Online opensource database that will accommodate case studies across the material, component, building, neighbourhood, city and regional scale derives from best practices provided and analyzed by project partners specifically city/regions.

Local & Regional Workshops
City and regional partners will organize workshops where relevant stakeholders (urban planners, policymakers, industry representatives, NGOs, CE and logistics experts, and networks) will be invited. The workshops will be designed and moderated by an external advisor (BVR) who will be present in all workshops.

RWTH Aachen Course: Transforming City Regions Masters Module III + Research Module
3rd module of the Transforming City Regions Masters program offered by RWTH Aachen – called Integrated Project III: Networked Urban Systems in Europe. It will run in the winter semester of 2024-2025. More information will be provided.

Next Generation Podium
An online Hack-a-ton organized by the Association of Deltametropolis (VDM), in which students from different universities of the Eurodelta - and beyond - can participate to explore the spatial challenges of circularity (in the built environment), and to inspire with new ideas for a circular city/region/Eurodelta and interregional cooperation.

ASSET Seminar
2-day seminar in which project partners and associate partners, based on the insights from the previous activities, draw up a strategy on interregional collaboration, to accelerate the transition towards a circular built environment.

ASSET Conference
The final conference of the ASSET project will take place in Brussels to disseminate and share the results of the ASSET project and sign agreement of further cooperation to ensure awareness and commitment between local, regional and national authorities, targeting also representatives from the EU, Benelux, France and Germany.
