Summer School on Circularity in the Built Environment

8 - 10 July 2024 | Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft

The 40 Million City: exploring the potential of the Eurodelta Region toward the transition to a CBE

ASSET Project Partner, TU Delft is hosting the third Summer School on Circularity in the Built Environment from 8-10 July 2024.

The summer school focuses on the Eurodelta region and its potential to contribute to the transition towards a circular built environment. Students (BSc and MSc), PhD candidates and professionals (architects, urban planners, policy makers) interested in architecture, urban planning, regional design sustainability and circular economy practices are invited to participate.

The programme includes a series of lectures by TU Delft professors and researchers as well as several selected guests. The lectures will be followed by group discussions. In addition, participants will work in groups on specific assignments.

The initial day is dedicated to examining the scale of the Eurodelta area from a circular standpoint. The second day examines and maps the different flows characterising the Eurodelta region and its transition and ambition towards a circular built environment. The day will conclude with a public seminar on the summer school topic. On the final day, we will guide participants to critically reflect on the knowledge gained in the previous days. We will encourage them to use their speculative imagination to envision future circular scenarios for the Eurodelta.
