METREX Symposium on Circular Construction: Final Report

This past November, the Municipality of The Hague and METREX (both ASSET partners) hosted a 2-day Symposium on Rules & Spaces to Speed up Circular Construction in coordination with CircuLaw.

Day 1 focused on the relevant current and future laws and regulations on circular construction and the spatial strategies helping regions and companies. Throughout the day, presentations and talks from different stakeholders with relevant expertise were held including a talk by Circulaw on the latest insights into (EU-) laws and regulations on Circular Construction. 

Day 2 focused on the spatial consequences of circular construction specifically the Dutch urban region experience, in which presentations and talks related to this topic were held, including a presentation about Spatial strategies for circular construction by BVR. The Symposium ended with a Panel Discussion and final conclusions of the event.

A final report has been prepared and can be downloaded below. This report captures the main takeaways, outcomes and messages for each day of the Symposium.
