One can read books and newspapers about circular and sustainable buildings, but nothing compares to a real life experience of good practices and exchanges with practitioners on the ground.
This is why the ASSET consortium will travel between three different countries (The Netherlands, Belgium and Western Germany) in a span of a week starting on Monday, June 17th, 2024. As one of the main activities of the ASSET project, ASSET on Tour will cover the cities and regions of the project partners by train and bus. The excursion will start in Amsterdam, where different areas within the city will be visited including Houthavens and Zuidas. The ASSET partners will then stop in The Hague and other cities within the Province of South Holland before reaching Brussels, where we will learn more about projects and innovative companies in the field of circularity. The excursion also includes travelling to the Rhineland to visit and exchange knowledge regarding healthy and circular projects in the region. On the final day of the excursion, we will be in Duisburg where we will visit a metal recycling facility. Throughout the week-long excursion, there will be moments of reflection as it relates to the ASSET project.
