Working towards a circular economy starts with so-called ‘material hubs’: facilities that collect, store, process, and redistribute materials on a small urban scale. But how can cities decide on an ideal amount of material hubs and the size of the areas in which they operate? Our next speaker, Tanya Tsui, tackled this question in the Amsterdam context for her project Timber Loops. Don’t hesitate to join the webinar!

This month we have Tanya Tsui, Postdoctoral research fellow at MIT Senseable City Amsterdam (NL), who will tell us about her project 'Timber Loops' where she uses spatial data science to help cities mitigate climate change followed by an interactive reflective session by Birgit Hopff, Strategic advisor, Brink (NL) based on her experience from circular hubs in the province of South Holland which have strong focus on area development and circular economy.

Regional & local workshops for ASSET to take place starting in October
